AI Music Generator Pricing: 14 Tools Compared (2026)

We compared the prices of 14 AI music generators as of September 2026: Suno, Udio, Mureka, ElevenLabs Music, Google Flow Music, MiniMax Music, Stable Audio, AIVA, Soundraw, Boomy, Mubert, Tad AI, Musci.io, and Song Creator Pro. Most cost between $6 and $30 a month, with top tiers running to $99 or more. A handful of free tiers exist, but almost none of them let you use the music commercially, and the only mainstream one-time purchase is Song Creator Pro at $49.99.

Sticker prices don't tell the whole story, though. Some plans let you generate hundreds of songs but download only 20. Others charge per minute of audio from a credit pool shared with other products. One major service doesn't let you download anything at all. This page starts with the number that matters most, what you actually pay for each song you can keep, then puts every plan side by side, and finishes with three-year costs and the hidden fees to watch for.

Every price below was checked in September 2026 against each tool's official pricing page where it was readable, and against recent independent reviews where it wasn't. AI music pricing changes often, so confirm the figure at checkout before paying.

What One Song Actually Costs

Dividing the plan price by the number of songs gives a rough cost per song. These figures assume you use your whole allowance, which most people don't, so your real cost per song is usually higher. Soundraw and Boomy charge a flat fee for unlimited songs, so their rows assume 100 songs a month. Every row counts songs you can download and keep, not songs you can generate.

Tool and plan Monthly price Songs you can keep per month Cost per song
Song Creator Pro $0 after $49.99 once Unlimited Under $0.01 (electricity)
Google Flow Music Plus $24 ~2,000 ~$0.01
Google Flow Music Starter $8 ~600 ~$0.013
Mureka Premier $30 ~2,000 ~$0.015
Mureka Pro $10 ~500 ~$0.02
Mubert Creator (instrumental, non-monetized use) $14 500 ~$0.03
Stable Audio Solo $12 ~250 ~$0.05
Musci.io Standard $29.99 ~600 ~$0.05
Soundraw Creator (instrumental only) ~$11 (annual) Unlimited ~$0.11 at 100 songs a month
Tad AI Pro $23.99 ~200 ~$0.12
AIVA Pro 33 euros 300 ~0.11 euros
MiniMax Music API (existing users only) Pay per song Pay per song ~$0.15
Tad AI Standard $7.99 ~50 ~$0.16
Boomy Pro $29.99 Unlimited ~$0.30 at 100 songs a month
ElevenLabs Creator $22 ~45 to 65 ~$0.33 to $0.50
ElevenLabs Starter $6 ~11 to 16 ~$0.40 to $0.55
Suno Pro $10 20 ~$0.50
Suno Premier $30 60 ~$0.50
AIVA Standard 11 euros 15 ~0.73 euros
Udio Standard $10 0 (downloads disabled) No song can leave Udio

That distinction matters most for Suno. Its Pro plan generates about 500 songs a month, roughly two cents each, but lets you download only 20 of them. A song you can't download isn't much use outside Suno, so the real price is about 50 cents a song. Udio is the extreme case: downloads have been disabled for everyone since October 2025, so no amount of money buys a song you can take away.

Song Creator Pro works the other way round: you pay once, and every song after that costs only the electricity to make it. A GPU drawing around 300 watts for an hour costs roughly five cents at typical US rates, and a mid-range card renders a song in a couple of minutes, so each song costs a fraction of a cent. There is no allowance to use up and no download cap, so the thousandth song costs the same as the first.

The one-time $49.99 is what five months of Suno Pro costs, and on Suno that money buys 100 songs you can download. The three-year comparison below puts the upfront price side by side with every subscription.

  • Benchmarked above Suno. YuE2, one of Song Creator Pro's two models, outscores Suno's current v6 on the WildSongBench benchmark: 6.73 to 6.56 with both picking the better of two takes, and 6.96 keeping the best of eight.
  • Unlimited songs, no download caps. Every track is saved straight to your own drive.
  • Commercial license included, with no subscription needed to keep it.
  • Vocals in 50+ languages, and exports to MP3, FLAC, and WAV.

A few things jump out. Entry prices cluster tightly around $8 to $12 a month. The real differences are in what that money buys: Suno's $10 buys 500 generations but only 20 downloads, Tad AI's $7.99 buys about 50 songs, and Soundraw's roughly $11 buys unlimited downloads of instrumentals only.

Plan-by-Plan Breakdown

Suno

  • Free: 50 credits a day (about 10 songs), no monthly downloads since 3 September 2026 beyond a one-off pool of 7 trial downloads, no commercial use
  • Pro: $10/month or $8/month billed annually. 2,500 credits (about 500 songs), 20 downloads a month, commercial rights
  • Premier: $30/month or $24/month billed annually. 10,000 credits (about 2,000 songs), 60 downloads a month, Suno Studio

Suno is still the default choice for many people, but its September 2026 changes matter for pricing. You can generate far more than you can keep, subscription credits don't roll over, and commercial rights cover songs made while you're subscribed. Our Suno alternatives page goes deeper.

Udio

  • Free: 10 credits a day plus an extra 100 a month, at most three full-length songs a day, non-commercial
  • Standard: $10/month, 2,400 credits
  • Pro: $30/month, 6,000 credits

The prices look like Suno's, but Udio has had audio, video, and stem downloads disabled for every user since its Universal Music settlement in October 2025, and its help center still confirmed this as of its February 2026 update. You're paying to make music that stays on Udio. See how to download Udio songs for the full story.

Mureka

  • Free: daily credits, personal use only
  • Pro: $10/month or $96/year. 5,000 credits (about 500 songs), commercial rights, access to the V9.5 model
  • Premier: $30/month or $288/year. 20,000 credits (about 2,000 songs), stem splitting, MIDI and WAV export

Mureka moved to a credit system it calls "Gold" in 2026. A standard song costs around 10 to 12 Gold, but stems, MIDI, and music videos draw from the same pool at much higher rates, so heavy editors get fewer songs than the headline figure.

ElevenLabs Music

  • Free: 10,000 credits a month, about 11 minutes of music (3 to 5 tracks), personal use only
  • Starter: $6/month ($60/year), 30,000 credits, commercial license
  • Creator: $22/month, 121,000 credits
  • Pro: $99/month, 600,000 credits (167 to 333 tracks)

Music costs 900 credits per minute, and the credits are shared with ElevenLabs' voice products. Starter is the cheapest commercially licensed plan on this page, but it only covers about 33 minutes of music a month. Film, TV, and large studio game use requires Enterprise.

Google Flow Music

  • Free: daily top-up credits (Google doesn't publish how many songs they cover)
  • Starter: $8/month ($6 billed annually), 3,000 credits (about 600 songs)
  • Plus: $24/month ($18 annually), about 2,000 songs
  • Member: $64/month ($48 annually), about 6,000 songs

The cheapest per-song price in the cloud, and one of the few free tiers that refills daily. Every track carries Google's SynthID watermark, and its pricing page does not state commercial rights.

MiniMax Music

MiniMax's official pricing lists Music 3.0 at $0.15 per song (up to five minutes) plus $0.01 per lyrics call, but since 20 August 2026 the paid music API is closed to new users, and the free music APIs were discontinued. New users are pointed to the MiniMax Audio web app or to the open-weight Music 3.0 model on Hugging Face, which you run on your own hardware.

Stable Audio

  • Solo: $12/month, 660 credits (roughly 250 tracks up to 3 minutes)
  • Session: $30/month, 1,800 credits
  • Producer: $90/month, 6,000 credits
  • Studio: $199/month, 14,000 credits

No free plan was listed as of September 2026, unused credits don't carry over, and organizations above $1M in annual revenue need an Enterprise license. Stable Audio is strongest at instrumentals and sound design, not songs with vocals.

AIVA

  • Free: 3 downloads a month, tracks up to 3 minutes, AIVA owns the copyright, credit required
  • Standard: 11 euros/month billed annually, 15 downloads, limited monetization on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram
  • Pro: 33 euros/month billed annually, 300 downloads, you own the copyright, WAV and all formats

Monthly billing costs more (roughly 15 and 49 euros). AIVA is the specialist pick for orchestral and cinematic scores with MIDI export.

Soundraw

  • Creator: roughly $11/month billed annually, unlimited MP3 downloads, commercial license
  • Artist Starter, Artist Pro, Artist Unlimited: higher tiers adding WAV, stems, and artist distribution features

Soundraw shows localized prices, and monthly billing is noticeably more expensive than annual. It's instrumental only and built for cutting music to video.

Boomy

  • Free: 25 song saves, 1 release
  • Creator: $9.99/month, 500 song saves
  • Pro: $29.99/month, unlimited song saves, commercial use in podcasts, social media, and ads

Boomy's real product is distribution to Spotify and other stores. It takes a share of streaming royalties, and songs are only royalty-free while your membership is active.

Mubert

  • Ambassador (free): 25 tracks and 5 MP3 downloads a month, non-commercial, attribution required
  • Creator: $14/month ($11.69 annually), 500 tracks, non-monetized social use only
  • Pro: $39/month ($32.49 annually), commercial use for monetized content
  • Business: $199/month ($149.29 annually), 1,000 tracks, agency work

No Mubert plan allows publishing to Spotify or other streaming services. Background music only, no vocals.

Tad AI

  • Free: 21 credits (about 2 songs), no commercial download
  • Standard: $7.99/month, 500 credits (up to 50 songs), commercial license
  • Pro: $23.99/month, 2,000 credits (up to 200 songs)

Yearly billing takes 20% off.

Musci.io

  • Starter: $9.99/month, 800 credits (about 160 songs), no commercial license
  • Standard: $29.99/month, 3,000 credits (about 600 songs), commercial license, WAV and MIDI
  • Premium: $99.99/month, 12,000 credits (about 2,400 songs)

An aggregator that resells generations from other engines under one credit balance. Yearly billing takes 20% off.

Song Creator Pro

  • Microsoft Store: $49.99 once, with a free trial
  • itch.io: $44.99 once
  • Unlimited generations and downloads, commercial license, MP3, FLAC, and WAV export, lifetime updates

Song Creator Pro runs ACE-Step 1.5 and YuE2 locally on your Windows PC. There is no credit meter, but you supply the hardware: an NVIDIA or AMD GPU with 8 GB of VRAM or more is recommended, and CPU-only mode works but is slow.

Cheapest Option for Each Situation

Cheapest overall: a free tier

If you want a handful of songs for personal use, don't pay anything. Google Flow Music's free tier refills daily and includes the core features, though every track is watermarked. Suno's free tier still generates about 10 songs a day, though you can only download 7 in total. Our guide to free vs. paid AI music generators covers what each free tier allows.

Cheapest with a commercial license

ElevenLabs Starter at $6 a month is the lowest entry price with commercial rights, but it covers only about 11 to 16 songs. Google Flow Music Starter ($8, or $6 annually) and Tad AI Standard ($7.99) are close behind with far bigger allowances. Suno Pro at $10 is the most popular choice, as long as 20 downloads a month is enough.

Free with commercial use

This barely exists in the cloud. Every major free tier we checked is personal use only, or keeps the copyright itself (AIVA). The genuinely free route to commercial use is running an open-source model yourself. ACE-Step 1.5 is MIT licensed and runs on modest GPUs, but you'll need to be comfortable with Python, CUDA, and command-line setup.

Unlimited songs under $30 a month

  • Soundraw Creator (~$11/month annual): unlimited downloads, but instrumental only
  • Boomy Pro ($29.99/month): unlimited song saves, with dated preset-driven output
  • Google Flow Music Plus ($24/month, $18 annual): around 2,000 songs, effectively unlimited for most people
  • Mureka Premier ($24/month billed annually): around 2,000 songs
  • Song Creator Pro ($49.99 once): no generation or download limits at all, which works out to about $1.39 a month over three years

Note that "unlimited generation" and "unlimited downloads" are different promises. Suno Premier lets you generate around 2,000 songs a month but download only 60.

Lifetime deal or one-time purchase

None of the major cloud services sells a lifetime plan. Song Creator Pro is a one-time $49.99 (or $44.99 on itch.io) with lifetime updates. Be careful with "lifetime deals" from small web apps sold through deal sites: a lifetime subscription to a cloud service only lasts as long as the company can afford to pay for its servers. A local app keeps working regardless. For more on this model, see AI music software with a one-time purchase.

Cheapest for orchestral and film scoring

AIVA Standard at 11 euros a month (annual) is the specialist choice, but it only includes 15 downloads and limited monetization. Full copyright ownership requires Pro at 33 euros a month.

Three-Year Cost Comparison

Subscriptions look cheap month to month and expensive over time. Here's what each entry commercial plan costs over three years, the typical life of a creative project or channel.

Tool and plan Monthly billing Annual billing
ElevenLabs Starter $216 $180
Google Flow Music Starter $288 $216
Tad AI Standard $288 ~$230
Suno Pro $360 $288
Mureka Pro $360 $288
Soundraw Creator n/a ~$400
Stable Audio Solo $432 n/a
Suno Premier $1,080 $864
Boomy Pro $1,080 n/a
Musci.io Standard $1,080 ~$864
AIVA Pro n/a 1,188 euros
Mubert Pro $1,404 $1,170
Song Creator Pro $49.99 once $49.99 once

Even the cheapest subscription here passes $49.99 within nine months. If you'd need to buy a GPU to run Song Creator Pro, add that to its column: a suitable 8 GB or 12 GB NVIDIA card costs a few hundred dollars, which still comes in under three years of most mid-tier plans, and the card is useful for other things. Our GPU guide covers which cards work.

Hidden Costs to Watch For

Download caps. Suno's paid plans limit downloads to 20 or 60 songs a month, separate from credits. Udio has no downloads at all. AIVA Standard allows 15.

Credits that expire. Suno, Udio, Stable Audio, and most credit-based plans reset monthly. A quiet month is money gone.

Shared credit pools. ElevenLabs credits cover speech and music. Mureka's Gold covers songs, stems, MIDI, and video. Every extra you use means fewer songs.

Rights tied to your subscription. Suno grants commercial rights for songs made while you're subscribed, not retroactively for free-tier songs. Boomy songs are royalty-free only while your membership is active.

Tier jumps for commercial use. Mubert's commercial rights start at $39 a month. Musci.io's start at $29.99. AIVA's full ownership starts at 33 euros. The cheapest plan is often not the one you can use.

Watermarks. Every Google Flow Music track carries a SynthID watermark, on free and paid plans alike.

Streaming restrictions. No Mubert plan allows releasing to Spotify or Apple Music. Check the terms before you build a release around any tool.

Terms that change. In 2025 and 2026, Udio disabled downloads overnight, Suno deleted every pre-v6 model and cut free downloads, and MiniMax closed its music API to new users. A price you locked in can still lose features.

Hardware, for local tools. Song Creator Pro and open-source models need a capable PC. If you don't have one, the GPU is part of the price.

When Song Creator Pro Isn't the Cheapest Choice

We make Song Creator Pro, so here's the honest version.

  • You only need a few songs. A free tier, or a single month of ElevenLabs Starter ($6) or Google Flow Music Starter ($8), costs less than $49.99.
  • You don't have a suitable GPU. CPU-only mode works but is much slower than a GPU. If you'd have to buy a graphics card just for this, a year or two of a cheap cloud plan may cost less.
  • You're on a Mac, phone, or Chromebook. Song Creator Pro is Windows only today. Cloud tools run in any browser.
  • You only need background instrumentals for video. Soundraw's Creator plan is a strong, cheap fit for that single job.
  • You specifically want a platform's sound or features, such as Suno Studio, AIVA's MIDI orchestration, or Boomy's distribution.

Song Creator Pro is the cheapest option when you generate regularly, want to keep every song you make, need commercial rights, and have (or plan to have) a Windows PC with a decent GPU. For those users it costs about the same as two months of a $24 to $30 plan, and nothing after that.

Want to stop paying per song? Unlimited generations, no download caps, commercial license included.

Frequently Asked Questions

As of September 2026: Suno Pro is $10/month ($8 billed annually) and Premier $30/month ($24 annually). Udio Standard is $10/month and Pro $30/month, but downloads are disabled. Mureka Pro is $10/month and Premier $30/month. ElevenLabs starts at $6/month, Google Flow Music at $8/month, Stable Audio at $12/month, Tad AI at $7.99/month, Musci.io at $9.99/month, Boomy at $9.99/month, Soundraw at roughly $11/month billed annually, Mubert at $14/month, and AIVA at 11 euros/month billed annually. Song Creator Pro is a one-time $49.99 ($44.99 on itch.io).

It depends on what you need. For a few songs, a free tier costs nothing. The cheapest paid plan with a commercial license is ElevenLabs Starter at $6/month, though it covers only around 11 to 16 songs. Per song, Google Flow Music and Mureka are cheapest in the cloud at one to two cents a generation. Over two or more years of regular use, a one-time purchase like Song Creator Pro ($49.99 once) is cheaper than any subscription, provided you have a suitable PC.

Yes, with caveats. Soundraw Creator offers unlimited downloads for roughly $11/month billed annually, but it is instrumental only. Boomy Pro at $29.99/month offers unlimited song saves. Google Flow Music Plus ($24/month) and Mureka Premier ($24/month billed annually) give around 2,000 songs a month, which is effectively unlimited for most people. Song Creator Pro has no generation or download limits at all for a one-time $49.99.

Song Creator Pro is a one-time purchase of $49.99 on the Microsoft Store or $44.99 on itch.io, with unlimited generations, a commercial license, and lifetime updates. It runs locally on Windows. Open-source models like ACE-Step 1.5 are free if you can set them up yourself. None of the major cloud services (Suno, Udio, Mureka, ElevenLabs, AIVA, Soundraw) sell a lifetime plan.

Suno's free plan gives 50 credits a day, roughly 10 songs, but since 3 September 2026 it includes no monthly downloads, only a one-off pool of 7 trial downloads for personal use. Commercial use requires Pro ($10/month) or Premier ($30/month), and even those cap downloads at 20 and 60 songs a month.

Almost none of the major cloud free tiers do. Suno, Udio, Mureka, ElevenLabs, AIVA, Mubert, Tad AI, and Stable Audio all restrict free output to personal use. The genuinely free route to commercial use is running an open-source model such as ACE-Step 1.5 (MIT license) on your own GPU, which requires technical setup.

As of September 2026, generating a song in the cloud costs roughly 1 to 50 cents depending on the service. Google Flow Music and Mureka work out to one or two cents per generation, Tad AI about 12 to 16 cents, and ElevenLabs Music around 33 to 55 cents. Suno generations are about 2 cents each, but because Pro allows only 20 downloads a month, each song you actually keep costs about 50 cents. A local tool like Song Creator Pro costs nothing per song after the one-time purchase, apart from electricity.
